Description Good Harvest Market, Waukesha County's largest independently owned natural and organic grocer, is seeking a creative and self-motivated full-time Baker. This position is responsible for our house-made baked goods - consistently producing our established customer favorites while also bringing fresh ideas, seasonal products, and creativity to the department. Our house-made products are baked with organic or non-GMO ingredients and nothing artificial. About the Position You'll be our sole full-time baker, reporting to our Kitchen Manager. You'll organize and complete bakery production per established pars and guidelines, maintain consistent product availability, and ensure our bakery displays are well stocked and inviting. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, manages their time effectively, and can remain productive without constant direction. You'll follow standardized Good Harvest Market recipes while having opportunities to contribute new products, seasonal flavors, and creative ideas. Our bakery focuses primarily on packaged, grab-and-go items such as cookies, scones, bars, muffins, quick breads, cakes, and other baked goods. We offer an assortment of organic, gluten-free, and vegan house-made baked goods, so experience with special dietary needs is preferred. Responsibilities Prepare Good Harvest Market bakery products according to standardized recipes and quality expectations Plan and prioritize daily and weekly production to keep bakery displays consistently stocked Package, label, price, and merchandise finished products Develop new products and seasonal offerings that fit our customers and natural-foods market Maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, portioning, and yields Monitor ingredients and communicate ordering and inventory needs Manage time effectively and work independently without constant direction Follow food-safety, sanitation, allergen, labeling, and product-rotation standards Maintain a clean, organized bakery workspace and complete routine and deep-cleaning tasks Minimize waste through proper planning, accurate production, and thoughtful use of ingredients Schedule Full-time, with flexible start times. Early morning hours are typical for this role, as most bakers prefer the uninterrupted kitchen access before the store opens.
