THE ROLE

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Baker / Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. This is a varied role that starts in the morning as our baker, preparing cookies, cakes, and other baked goods for the day. From late morning through the rest of the shift, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to assist with the lunch menu — from prep to plating.
There is scope for training and development for the right candidate, with opportunities to take on more responsibility and occasionally step up when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Morning baking: preparing cookies, cakes, and other bakery items to café standards
• Supporting the Head Chef with lunch service and menu preparation
• General kitchen duties, including prep, service, and cleaning
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation
• Taking initiative and contributing ideas to menu development when appropriate
