At Prinknash Abbey Shop and Café we bake all our own cakes, scones and soups, using tried and tested recipes our customers love.
We are looking for a baker/kitchen assistant to work in our busy café two days a week. Thursday 8am-2:30pm and Saturday 9am-3:30pm.

REQUIREMENTS

• Enjoy baking. An Enthusiastic and competent baker looking for the next step.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards and willingness to complete a food hygiene course.
• Basic cooking skills with a willingness to learn more advanced techniques.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Complete training as required.
  Job Type: Part-time
  Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour
  Expected hours: 13 per week

• Baking various cakes, scones and pies according to the recipes.
• Help prepare salads, coleslaws and bacon as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow food safety protocols to ensure a hygienic cooking environment.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
