Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The Baker will be responsible for preparing a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods fresh daily, ensuring high quality, consistency, and creativity. This role requires both technical skill and artistic flair, with a focus on creating an exceptional experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and finish breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, and specialty items according to café standards.
  • Develop and test new recipes that reflect the café’s style and seasonal offerings.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all baked goods.
  • Manage daily production schedules to ensure items are ready for café service.
  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and minimize food waste.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the café team to support events and special catering orders.
  • Stay updated on baking trends and bring creative ideas to enhance the menu.
  • Available for early morning 5 am shift

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a baker, pastry chef, or similar role.
  • Knowledge of traditional and modern baking techniques.
  • Ability to follow recipes and also develop new creations.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food Handler’s Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Passion for baking and creating memorable customer experiences.
