Your mission The Michelberger Hotel & Restaurant has been accommodating and catering for Berliners and their guests since 2009. Our team creates a wide range of experiences tailored to the needs and wishes of each occasion in a variety of hotel rooms, event and public spaces. In our restaurant, café and bar we serve the best local produce, sourced from a sustainable network of farmers, hunters and suppliers we trust, as well as from our own Michelberger Hof, a food forest in Spreewald/Brandenburg. The Michelberger family also includes the ORA Restaurant, the bistro THEKE, the MXPSM distillery, the PEOPLE Festivals and the drinks manufacturer Fountain of Youth. An independent small bakery in our hotel produces all products from organic food. We supply our restaurants, bistro and café/bar. Your tasks in the advertised position: Are you always committed to producing high-quality products, both in terms of taste and their intrinsic and extrinsic qualities? Do you demonstrate this through your knowledge of where our food comes from and its journey from farm to table? Then we’re looking for YOU to join our kitchen team! You are responsible for preparing and baking our breads, small pastries, and sweet baked goods, and you are involved in producing our desserts for the kitchen ... ensure that you meet our quality standards ... pay close attention to precision in all aspects of kitchen operations ... work with our recipes and are encouraged to help improve them ... have knowledge of high-quality products and, ideally, also bring an understanding of bakery practices and processes ... maintain good communication within our team ... participate in training sessions and apply what you learn in practice ... ensure compliance with and enforcement of hygiene regulations, safety standards, and cleaning schedules/procedures ... maintain positive and professional interactions with other departments ... ensure that your shift and work area are well-organized and prepared ... follow all HACCP instructions in accordance with the operations manual, including compliance with legal and external requirements Your profile Completed training as a chef or baker At least 1–2 years of professional experience Professional experience in a bakery or pastry shop is a plus Enjoys creative work Knowledge of German and English is a plus Working with us means?
