JOB DESCRIPTION – BAKER Job Overview
At Maverick’s Donut Company, we are very eager to provide our customers with a memorable experience through outstanding customer service. This includes a prompt friendly greeting, quality donuts and beverages, all the while maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.
Description of Position
As a Maverick’s Donut Company baker, you will be expected to make donuts from start to finish. This means mixing the dough, frying the dough and decorating the fried dough with the use of various kitchen appliances and kitchen tools. It is the baker’s duty to ensure that the necessary toppings are prepared in line with the shop’s daily needs and recipes. You will report to the store owner/manager and be expected to follow directions and execute them in a fast-paced, high- energy environment. Every now and again, you will be required to offer our guests friendly customer service and to work the POS system.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Frying and decorating donuts by following the company’s recipes, process and procedures
  • Prepare for pre-orders each day before store opening
  • Cleaning kitchen equipment after use
  • Preparing all dips, glazes and other toppings as required
  • Putting away all food and equipment used during shift
  • Wipe down all counters, tables and work areas
  • Drain/filter fryer oil, wipe down fryer, replenish oil as needed
  • Clean out/organize inside of fridge
  • Dishwashing as needed
  • Take out garbage/compost and replace all garbage bags
  • Thoroughly sweep/vacuum and mop all floors

JOB DESCRIPTION – BAKER Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing/walking
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling or crawling
  • Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders
  • Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing or rotation of the wrist(s) and spine
  • Constant reaching, turning, and performing precision work around work area
  • Constant reception of detailed instructions through oral communication
  • Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word

Shop Hours are Day Shifts & evening as required. Early morning is a requirement.
