POSITION SUMMARY:

The Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread, pastry, and specialty products in accordance with company recipes and production schedules. This position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and food safety in a fast-paced commercial bakery environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a baker in a commercial or industrial setting (experience with European-style baking is a plus).
• Familiarity with bakery equipment such as planetary mixers, dough dividers, proofers, ovens, and laminators.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work early mornings or weekends as required.
• Basic English communication skills (spoken and written).

• Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings following established recipes and procedures.
• Operate mixers, dividers, sheeters, ovens, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
• Shape, mold, and proof dough according to product specifications.
• Bake breads, rolls, pastries, tarts, and specialty items, monitoring temperature and timing to ensure optimal results.
• Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstation, equipment, and tools.
• Follow all food safety standards and procedures (GMPs, HACCP, allergen control, etc.).
• Communicate with the lead hand or supervisor regarding equipment issues, production needs, or ingredient shortages.
• Record production information, waste, and temperatures as required.
• Assist in inventory rotation and ingredient handling.
