IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL NEED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid bakery experience
  • Attention to and an eye for detail
  • Ability to remain professional & focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised when required
  • A flexible & adaptive hands-on approach
  • A respectful and mature approach to working in a team environment
  • Our business trades 7 days a week so working at least one weekend day per week will be required on a fixed roster with consecutive days off.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.

  • Trade qualifications and industry experience in a fast-paced retail bakery.
  • Ability to work unsupervised when required.
  • While experience with pies isn’t necessary, a flexible & adaptive hands-on approach with a willingness to learn and develop your skills is a must.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are on the look out for a qualified baker/pastry chef or a 4th year apprentice to join the growing team at our Heatherbrae bakery.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare quality products following company recipes & yield guidelines according to set standards
  • Adhere to procedures, policies and high standards at all times.
  • Support and assist with the professional development of apprentices.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in relation to OHS/WHS and food safety & hygiene.
  • Respectful and professional communication style.
