IOS Agora & Bakery is seeking to find an employee for the position of a Baker/Pastry Chef. The Baker/Pastry Chef at IOS Agora & Bakery is part of a dynamic team that has a foundation of inspirational leadership and passion for excellence. Working along side the Bakery Manager and following their instructions closely and unconditionally so that our business can move forward.

Baker/Pastry Chef Key Roles:

  • Be enthusiastic, energetic and demonstrate a genuine positive demeanor throughout the shift while following directions that the Bakery Manager sets forth
  • Deliver superior food service and quality
  • Execution of standards as set forth by Bakery Manager
  • Assistance with training lower level hired staff as needed
  • Active participation in location staff meetings
  • Be clean and neat at all times
  • Upon finishing a shift making sure their station is left clean.
  • Daily review and reporting of items sold and items needed to Bakery Manager

  • Proactive Planning: manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels for food and

operational supplies to execute the menu as approved by the Bakery Manager.

  • Time Management: effectively manages time to achieve business goals while satisfying the team needs.
  • Communication: Provides clean, open, and consistent communication with the team.

Actively listens and receives feedback to improve on management of time.

  • Problem solving: Responsive, calm, creative and flexible to ensure operations continue to run smoothly in the face of the unexpected.
  • Consistency: Approachable by both employees and management. Using time management to maintain a satisfactory track record.
  • Organization: can effectively move between tasks and prioritize appropriately between execution, operational tasks, and cleanliness.

Education and Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Cake Decorating/Baking/Pastries
  • Knowledge and experience in Greek Pastries considered an asset
  • Ability to learn new recipes and desire to learn
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: inventory software, excel and word
  • Food Safety Course and W.H.M.I.S.
  • Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 25lbs to 50 lbs, must be able to stoop and bend.
  • Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
