What we’re looking for Adams Employees are expected to provide friendly service to our valuable customers, ensuring that each experience reflects the commitment to providing quality products that Adams is known for. For the Baker, this means preparing high-quality baked goods from scratch or using approved recipes, maintaining consistent product quality, freshness, and presentation, and following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Baker is also responsible for measuring, mixing, and baking products, rotating stock to ensure freshness, keeping the work area clean and organized, and working collaboratively with the bakery team to meet production goals and customer demand. Your Day-to-Day  * Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and take orders in person or by phone * Review daily goals with the bakery manager or assistant and check product needs for the day * Prepare a variety of baked goods, including breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, scones, and muffins, following bakery recipes * Measure, mix, scale, bake, and finish products, ensuring quality, freshness, and proper labeling * Maintain strong product knowledge, including ingredients and allergen information, to assist customers * Rotate stock for freshness and keep cases and sale tables full, clean, and visually appealing * Maintain cleanliness and organization in all bakery areas, washing and storing equipment properly * Prioritize customer assistance over other tasks to ensure exceptional service What you bring to the Farm * Knowledge on Bakery recipes and products * Understanding how to correctly and accurately measure, and read recipe directions * Excellent customer service skills * Accurately use mixers, blenders, slicers, ovens and any other equipment within the Bakery * Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers * Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality * Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values Working Conditions * 2 years of professional bakery experience * Must be at least 18 years old * Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds * Safely use all ovens, slicers, mixers, blenders and any other equipment necessary to run the Bakery * Ability to remain in a stationary position for duration of shift * Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder * Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift * Communicate with others to exchange information * Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces Perks of the Job At Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits. The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions – including skill sets, experience, training, certifications and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $18.00 - $26.10. At Adams, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation.
