JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are searching for skilled, creative Bakers who strive to provide excellent and consistent baked items. A Baker will execute current and new varieties of edibles for consumer use. Expectations include following recipes with exact measurements, quality checking ingredients and finished products, and maintaining a clean work environment. Successful Bakers are efficient, respectful, focused on food quality and customer satisfaction, organized, and have keen attention to detail.

BAKER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Strong communication, organization, and time management.
  • Attention to detail throughout every step of bakery production.
  • Basic math (counting and reading measurements).
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members
  • Ability to work in an occasionally warm, busy environment; stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances; and lift up to 20 pounds to restock bulk ingredients.
  • Team oriented
  • Proactive critical thinking
  • Verbal and written communication with your managers and coworkers.
  • Strong attention to detail.
    Pay: Entry-level pay for this position is $13/hr. Introductory period is 60 days from start date. Performance reviews provided quarterly for wage increase potentials.

Responsibilities
  • Measuring and combining ingredients according to company recipes.
  • Use mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment to make baked goods, such as cookies, brownies, cereal treats, etc.
  • Packaging baked good products.
  • Safely and mindfully test ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls.
  • Logging information relating to ingredients used in a recipe.
  • Clean and restock workstations, ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.
  • Responsible for knowing bake times of each product and how to operate all machinery; including oven, dishwasher, three compartment sink, vacuum sealer, stove top, mixers, blender, and food processor.
