The Dutchess is a seasonally driven bakery, cafe, and Burmese-Indian influenced restaurant. We’re a passionate, close knit team of bakers producing an array of usually around 35-40 varieties of pastries on any given day with an emphasis on ancient grains, high quality ingredients, and supporting local farmers and causes we believe in. Currently, our bakery team is comprised of 7 different stations all responsible for executing various items to contribute to the case. Our offerings span our 8 foot pastry case and include: layer cakes & wedding cakes, composed desserts, a sourdough bread program, vienoisserie, morning pastries, etc.
Applicants should have a fundamental knowledge of essential baking techniques, equipment, and methods. At least one year experience in a professional kitchen is preferred, but not required. Potential candidates should take pride in their craft, possess an eagerness to learn, and positively contribute to the overall atmosphere & spirit of The Dutchess.
