Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for the production of sweet dessert baked goods and savory casseroles and other dishes for PHR customers and catering orders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Obtain complete knowledge of the menu * Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, dessert bars, and casseroles and other dishes * Prepare and grill sandwiches as needed * Take customer orders and create future catering orders * Maintain a clean and organized work area * Restock supplies and ingredients as needed * Demonstrate excellent communication skills * Demonstrate 100% commitment to guest satisfaction * Properly train on all tasks before performing them * Observe sanitation and health guidelines including strictly following proper hand-washing techniques * Assist other departments within the restaurant when needed QUALIFICATIONS: * Prior baker experiences working in a restaurant or deli setting preferred * Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Excellent customer service and communication skills * Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. * High School diploma or equivalent * Personal hygiene and food safety mindedness is of the utmost importance.
