BAKER’S ASSISTANT / PASTRY KITCHEN ALL-ROUNDER

Pizza Station n Cafe in Sunbury is looking for a reliable and hardworking Baker’s Assistant to help prepare and bake fresh pastries, cinnamon scrolls and other café products.

This is a hands-on morning position suited to someone who enjoys baking, works neatly and can follow recipes accurately.

Main duties:

• Preparing doughs, fillings and toppings Rolling, shaping and cutting cinnamon scrolls Assisting with pastries and other baked products Measuring ingredients accurately and following recipes Preparing Nutella, Biscoff, pistachio and Bueno toppings Operating ovens and monitoring baking times Setting up the kitchen for morning production Cleaning equipment, benches, trays and utensils Rotating ingredients and checking stock Following food-safety and hygiene procedures Assisting with general café duties when required

What we are looking for:

• Previous bakery, pastry or commercial kitchen experience is preferred Confident working with dough and following recipes Reliable and available for early-morning starts Fast, organised and able to work independently Good attention to detail and presentation Able to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace Physically capable of standing, lifting trays and working in a busy kitchen Food Safety Certificate is an advantage Weekend availability is available and weekdays

Pay: $53,189.72 – $84,889.39 per year
