JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sweet treats and bakery production, along with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with the daily operations of our bakery, assisting with product preparation, packaging, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry experience is a plus.
• Strong culinary skills, including baking abilities.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Previous experience in bakery, cafe or restaurant settings is advantageous but not required.

  Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week

• Assist in the preparation and production of batters, frostings, fillings and more.
• Package finished products for display and sale while maintaining presentation standards.
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and bakery areas.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and customer demands.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering questions about products.
• Support special orders by preparing items as needed.
