OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products and exceptional service. You will work closely with our bakery team to create delicious baked goods.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred.
• Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and provide an enjoyable experience.
• Experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math is beneficial but not mandatory. Join us as we create delightful experiences for our customers through our delicious baked goods!

  Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
  Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

• Assist in the preparation of baked goods, including boxing and decorating items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, adhering to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Toast or Square efficiently for processing customer transactions.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and offering recommendations or upselling products.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management promptly.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
