REPORTS TO: Bakery Management FLSA: NON-EXEMPT POSITION SUMMARY: As a Bakery Cashier you will have the opportunity to get to know and build relationships with our guests. You will learn about their preferences and be able to make recommendations of new items they may want to try. You will serve food and beverage items while creating a positive environment for our guests. The Bakery Cashier is responsible for making a compelling difference in the lives of our guests. The Bakery Cashier serves drinks and performs cashier duties. Requirements Essential Duties & Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter Give customers drink menus and answer their questions regarding ingredients Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios) Prepare beverages following recipes Serve beverages and prepared food, like cookies, pastries and muffins Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Keep the bar area clean Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates Check if brewing equipment operates properly and report any maintenance needs Comply with health and safety regulations Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items Assists other team members as needed or when business needs dictates Bread packing duties such as packaging, labeling and slicing during slow service times.
