Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Bakery Chef to lead our production of high-quality baked goods and pastries. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both traditional and modern techniques, and a passion for creating exceptional products that meet brand standards and customer expectations – Create and produce a wide range of bakery and pastry items including – Croissants (classic, filled, and creative variations) – Breads (sourdough, brioche, focaccia, baguettes) – Cakes and cake batters (sponge, chiffon, pound, and layered cakes) – Cookies, muffins, brownies, and bars – Tarts, eclairs, choux pastry, and mille-feuille – Middle Eastern and international dessert items – Seasonal and custom-designed baked products – Innovate and test new recipes with a focus on creativity, presentation, and taste – Ensure consistency in product quality and adherence to brand standards – Supervise daily operations of the bakery and pastry section – Maintain cleanliness and uphold food safety and hygiene protocols – Monitor ingredient levels, manage ordering and inventory – Lead and train junior staff to follow recipes and techniques correctly – Collaborate with the management team on menu development and seasonal offerings Qualifications Proven experience in a pastry, bakery, or relevant role Solid understanding of pastry and baking tools and equipment. Solid pastry and cake decorating skills will be considered an asset. A certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or a relevant field will be considered an asset. Basic verbal and written communication skills in English Considerable skill in simple mathematical calculations. A detailed-oriented mindset aiming for consistent results Be able to interact with colleagues in a positive and professional manner in order to make them feel valued and maximize staff morale and guest service experience. Able to carry out various tasks simultaneously and effectively in a limited amount of time.
