JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Bakery Chef to set up and create a new Bakery in an existing Café. This role , is pivotal in creating a new look and feel to our town centre cafe in Bostin Lincolnshire, where this role will be based for 3 months. Work with management and team to delivery and open bakery, source ingredients, demonstrate ways of working, as well as supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

SKILLS

  • Proven supervising experience within a kitchen or restaurant environment.
  • Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
  • Culinary experience with a passion for cooking and hospitality.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with serving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Set up Bakery business within Cafe / existing space
  • Establish all food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Manage team dynamics, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
