Costa Navarino is looking for a Bakery Chef de Partie. The selected candidate will demonstrate proper and safe usage of all bakery equipment, have knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation with HAACP. They will respond appropriately to quests needs while preparing and baking different bread types with brand standards. They will help the Head Baker to develop new products for the outlets while supporting food cost and food waste. They will check all the outlets orders and BEO and assist and oversee subordinates while maintaining adequate supply and ensures proper storage and refrigeration. They will decorate themed buffets set up and assist with the material orders and check the deliveries. Responsibilities Assessment and communication of daily production needs in collaboration with the Junior Sous chef Preparation and creation of the Baked products and themed buffets Demonstrate proper and safe usage of all pastry equipment. Have knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation Respond appropriately to guests’ needs during the hours of operation Support the control of food costs Be able to clearly define productivity standards with quality requirements and methods required to obtain them Check that all food and beverage outlets’ orders are at the correct level and do not surpass the stocks which are required Assist the Sous Chef with material orders and check the deliveries Make sure all the HAACP documents are filled daily Check the BEO for upcoming events and help with the necessary preparation Help and oversee the subordinates with the tasks that are assigned Minimum 5 years’ experience in the sector, or at least 1 year at the same position Pastry Degree Ability to speak, write and converse freely in both Greek and English Basic computer skills Good hygiene knowledge and HACCP Standards High energy, ability to work under pressure, good organizational skills and interpersonal skills Lead by example Compliance with the cleaning schedule Competitive compensation package On going training opportunities Accommodation in the vicinity of Navarino Dunes (for non Messinians) Meals within the premises Private Medical Plan Use of Navarino Dunes Facilities, according to the relevant policies
Responsibilities
