SUMMARY:

This position will market, promote, and sell the FRITSCH product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and to meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives with a focus on sales nationally.
Assume responsibility (in coordination with the National Sales Manager) for sales/marketing and development of all FRITSCH products for the Company Nationally.
Support MULTIVAC’s sales efforts to close new business opportunities by collaborating with the Sales, Product and Factory teams and with customers to firstly understand the practical requirements of the customers’ needs, and then define the best application solution to fulfil the customers’ requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four (4) year college or university and at least 1-2 years related sales experience OR equivalent combination of education & work experience.
  • A proven track record within a minimum of three (3) years’ direct sales experience in one or more of the following: (1) Bakery Processing Equipment; (2) Food Industry or (3) Capital Equipment.
  • Solid organizational, time and project management skills with the ability to establish priorities, set clear deliverables and multi-task under tight timelines and within a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement, with French and/or German considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as proposals, technical drawings etc and to be able to relate the contents to customers in a clear and effective manner. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
  • An excellent command of the English language with effective written/verbal communication and presentation skills is required. Working knowledge of German as a second language could be an asset.
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability and flexibility to be able to travel domestically and internationally (with valid passport), as required, for Company projects. Clear criminal background check.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as in Customer Relationship Management software.

Responsibilities

Includes the following however other related duties may be assigned:

  • Identify current competitive and alternative systems and disseminate information, as necessary. Identify markets that could benefit from the use of existing or expanded products in selected areas.
  • Lead the development of product justifications for selected applications, including return on investment studies and other purchase rationale.
  • Work with the National Sales Manager and marketing teams to develop appropriate promotional plans and programs, and to formulate realistic sales budgets for product categories.
  • Market development activities including, but not limited to, visits to potential customers, visits to Company’s international head office and other Company locations to investigate applications, attend trade shows and trade association events as well as visits to allied suppliers/vendors.
  • Attend training, as necessary, on product line and new application development and leading the preparation of sales worthy documentation, as needed.
  • Operate within annual expense budget and work to meet established individual sales budget.
  • Attend internal and external meetings, as required by the National Sales Manager and/or wider business.
  • On a long-term basis, help to evolve all product lines into profitable and growing internal business units.
