WHAT YOU WILL DO: Bakery Leadership Provide leadership direction Embody the Tiger Brands values and behaviors Identify and build meaningful relationships with all internal and external stakeholders Strategy Translate the bakery strategy and objectives into a business plan, working closely with cross-functional partners (Sales & Distribution, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain etc.) Drive strategy and execution by directing and engaging with a multi-disciplinary team across functions (Marketing, Customer, Supply Chain, HR and Finance), fostering an elevated level of cross-functional integration with all resources driving forward the Bakery strategy and priorities Bakery Management Ensure that the overall Bakery financial performance meets target Integrate and align various functions to achieve goals Manage and monitor KPIs (incl. budget management), working with cross-functional partners to identify corrective actions as required Identify internal and external opportunities Ensure that the overall Bakery financial performance meets target Integrate and align various functions to achieve goals Manage the performance of the workforce and the management thereof Manage the development and learning of the workforce and develop a Bakery workforce strategy Manage relationships with unions and other employer representative forums, including the wage negotiation process Human Resources Management Manage career and succession plans, including capability development to ensure an appropriate level of skill and competence Manage conflict resolution in the case of industrial dispute or conflict Oversee the consistent application, enforcement, and management of discipline across the Bakery Manage compliance to relevant employment legislation Arrange regular audits of all operations under your control to ensure adherence to the above Drive supply chain excellence to create fuel for growth. Production Management / Bread Making Ensure capability improvement through benchmarking and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Establish outstanding control environment in all functions Compliance Ensure adherence to Tiger Financial/Procurement and Control Policies Maintenance and Closing out of corrective actions for internal and external audits (Risk Registers, CSA, KPMG, and Other Audits) Ensure all safety and quality standards are adhered to across the various areas Maintenance and Engineering Management Ensure all GMR appointments are in place Overview of DMS reports and gap audits Oversee Capex Business Cases and Capex Submissions as per Budget Sales and Marketing Management Build superior knowledge and understanding of the target market - including shoppers, consumers, customers and competitors Implement go-to-market priority setting for General Trade and Modern Trade (incl. sales budgets) to meet category objectives, partnering closely with the Customer function to drive its execution across key channels, packs, regions, and service offerings WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE: Logistics and Depot Management 5 – 10 years Sales Management 5 – 10 years Bakery Experience 5 – 10 years Production Management 5 – 10 years Bachelors Degree #LI-KM3 In accordance with the employment equity plan of Tiger Brands and its employment equity goals and targets, preference may be given, but is not limited, to candidates from under-represented designated groups.
