Overview:
Seeking a leader with both management and baking experience to join our team in the position of Bakery Manager at Northside Social in Falls Church. At Northside Social we produce delicious seasonal pastries & bread from scratch using high quality ingredients, unique flavor combinations, and the basic expectation that every menu item must be delicious. We also produce seasonal desserts for the full-service concepts in our five unit restaurant group. The Bakery Manager will lead the bakery team with integrity and passion, demonstrating patience, compassion for team members, attention to detail, and great care for our craft. The ideal candidate will enjoy leading a team of pastry cooks, bread bakers, and delivery drivers, and will lead by example, working side by side with a great team.
Responsibilities:
- quality control for all baked products produced at the central bakery, meeting production goals and timelines, while minimizing waste
- create a positive work environment for our employees, with an emphasis on friendly, caring, and professional communication
- manage the distribution process from the central bakery to the four other units
- manage inventory day to day, week to week, and month to month
- lead the production and execution of specialty cakes, cupcakes, special orders
- participate in menu and product development for Northside Social
- lead menu and product development for the dessert menus at our three full-service restaurants
- foster bakery team member development and succession planning with an emphasis on technique, consistency, and efficiency
- accurately order all bakery ingredients - daily and weekly
- ensure that our kitchen is safe, with equipment that is well maintained, and ensure our kitchen cleanliness and sanitation protocols are being followed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 per year
