BAKERY MANAGER – FULL-TIME, SALARY
Farmers Market Location – Small but Mighty Bakery!
We’re looking for a seasoned Bakery Manager to lead our hardworking (and fun-loving) team inside a fabulous, well-known farmers market. We may be a small bakery, but we crank out an impressive amount of artisanal sourdough breads, pastries, croissants, cookies, pies, cinnamon buns, baguettes, and more — and we need someone who can keep the ovens hot, the team motivated, and the bread baskets full.
Who You Are:
- You have at least 5 years of commercial bakery experience, including mastery of steam-injected deck ovens and large commercial mixers.
- You’re comfortable working with artisan sourdough and a wide range of baked goods (sourdough, straight dough, pastries, rustic loaves, the works).
- You’ve managed and trained a small team before — and you know how to bring out the best in people.
- You’re ready (and willing) to cover shifts at any hour of the day or night to keep production rolling.
- You can consistently lift 50-lb bags of flour, sugar etc. (proper technique required, gym membership optional).
- You’re available weekends and holidays — bread doesn’t take days off.
- You’re reliable, not prone to absences, and committed to being a steady presence.
- You’re fun, approachable, and have a great sense of humor — because bakery life is hard work, but it should also be joyful.
- You want to grow with us, bring fresh ideas, and help streamline processes.
Bonus Points If You:
- Have food safety certification.
- Love problem-solving and keeping things organized when the flour dust is flying.
- Enjoy being part of a tight-knit “bakery family.”
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily production and make sure everything runs smoothly (and deliciously).
- Teach, coach, and support your team while also jumping in hands-on when needed.
- Manage schedules, product flow, and inventory.
- Keep standards high — from crust to crumb.
- Pitch in up front when things get busy.

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
