Company Introduction: T&T Supermarkets is marking over 30 years as Canada’s favorite Asian grocery store and recently announced the first store location in the United States. Our growth into the US offers great opportunities within our first US flagship store, set to open in 2024 in Bellevue, Washington in the Marketplace at Factoria, spanning 76,000 sq.ft. and will stand as the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington state.
We have additional plans for growth and will also be establishing a regional office in the greater Los Angeles area to grow T&T Supermarket’s vendor base with American food suppliers.
The Role: Reporting to the Bakery Department Manager and supervised by the Bakery Department Manager and/or Bakery Department Head and/or their delegate, you play an important role in maintaining the smooth operation of the Bakery Department. You will support the daily activities and offer guidance to junior team members, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to departmental standards.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a welcoming smile, greeting and assisting customers enthusiastically, friendly, and courteously.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior team members, provide feedback on staff performance, assist in staff training and development within the department.
  • Address customer complaints promptly and cultivate strong relationships with customers by offering attentive service, including a welcoming smile, eye contact, and personalized attention.
  • Familiar oneself with the location of various bakery items and stay informed about departmental promotions to better assist customers.
  • Maintain and update UPC pricing, verify and ensure accurate product labeling.
  • Assist in managing the quality and freshness of all products (bread, cake and other pastry products), ensure they are properly packaged and display while enforcing the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle to uphold standards.
  • Ensure thorough quality control measures during product receiving and efficiently manage inventory across display areas and backrooms, including the cooler, and freezer.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and upkeep of work tools to ensure a hygienic and organized environment.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating proficiency in all assigned duties and setting a standard for excellence.Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.
