JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a focus on creating high-quality baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of baked items, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards while adhering to food safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a Baker or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Experience in cake and cookie decorating is highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required.
    This position requires early mornings and Saturdays (closed on Sundays).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake a wide range of items including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
  • Decorate cakes and other baked goods with creativity and attention to detail.
  • Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Assist with catering orders as needed, ensuring timely delivery of baked goods.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and knives.
  • Assist customers with product selection as needed.
