JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dedicated Bakery Assistant and Cleaner to join our team. This dual-role position involves supporting the baking team with preparation tasks and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and passionate about contributing to a clean and efficient bakery.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous food service cleaning environment is an asset
• Proven experience in cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to stand, lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from work.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Experience:

• Assist bakers with preparation of bread, cookies, cakes, and other baked products.
• Package and label products according to company standards.
• Stock shelves, maintain product displays, and ensure items are fresh and presentable.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in-store.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery, including work areas, equipment, and storage.
• Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist with restocking.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Support with samples and promotions when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth bakery operations.
