Description Overview: Responsible for monitoring, improving, and ensuring the consistency of the dough-making operations. This role focuses on standardizing process parameters, training operators, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement to achieve product quality, efficiency, and food safety targets. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Monitor daily dough production to ensure adherence to process standards and recipes. 2. Support and train operators on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices. 3. Analyze process data to identify deviations and recommend corrective actions. 4. Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams to ensure smooth operation and compliance with food safety and GMP standards. 5. Assist with start-ups, changeovers, and process validations. 6. Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.). 7. Investigate process issues related to dough consistency, weight control, proofing, or ingredient usage. 8. Verify ingredient handling, batching, and mixing accuracy according to specifications. 9. Maintain accurate documentation, including process checks, production reports, and deviation logs. 10. Participate in audits, trials, and improvement projects. Requirements Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Performs other duties as required Background/Education Requirements: · High school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor’s in Food Science, Engineering or related field. · 2+ years of experience in dough production, bakery, or food manufacturing environment. · Strong understanding of dough mixing, fermentation, temperature control, and ingredient functions. · Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety practices. · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. · Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). · English/Spanish Bi-lingual preferred Working Conditions & Physical Requirements · Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures (coolers, ovens, production floor). · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs. when handling parts or supplies. · Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods as required.
