Job Overview Responsible for processing of trash and recycling according to local standards and covering intermittent duties in support of Operations throughout the day. [https://employeeconnection.net/CareerSiteMedia/ucmfa67293579.pdf] What You Will Do * Inspect, sort and bale all waste cardboard and plastic * Maintain balers and compactor clear of trash that can build up and create a malfunction * Maintain the dock area (area surrounding baler) * General Housekeeping duties * Basic maintenance and changing of the MHE Batteries * Daily operation and general maintenance/cleaning of the Sweeper * Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality * Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities. Who You Are * Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent are encouraged to apply * Ability to read, write and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals * Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with colleagues * Must be able to: * Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors * Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English * Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision * Sense of urgency and the ability to work independently * Attention to detail and effective organization skills * Works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team * Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs Essential Physical Requirements You Will Perform * Regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking * May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching * Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement: Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances.
