Pulse Environmental Ltd is a quality and safety focussed recycling company that collects, sorts and processes mainly paper but also several other waste streams for recycling.
We operate from Canning Town, in East London. The shifts are on a 45 hour per week contract, 7.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Optional overtime outside of the regular pattern and weekend overtime are often available.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE.

You will be responsible for operating forklift trucks and baling equipment as well as sorting paper. Ideally, you will be experienced with driving clamp trucks and industrial balers but training can be given to the right candidate. There is a lot of manual handling and housekeeping duties in this role.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Operate mobile plant machinery such as clamp trucks and telehandler to handle and process waste materials safely.
  • Operate baler and shredder to process various grades of cardboard and paper.
  • Support waste processing activities by helping to grade and sort paper, glass, metal and wood.
  • Conduct daily checks on mobile plant and baling equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition. Report any machinery defects or potential safety risks.
  • Help keep site clean and free from hazards and ensure compliance with health & safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Follow operational procedures and permit conditions when handling different waste streams to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with site waste permit.
