Description Position starts at $15.50 per hour with annual merit increases and production bonuses. SUMMARY Operates machine that compresses and binds cloth to facilitate handling by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES are listed below in order of importance, from most important to least important. Trucks or carries materials to baling machine. Places materials in compression chamber of baling machine. Operates electric switches to compress material. Wraps precut lengths of wire around bale and tightens by twisting ends. Loads and unloads salvage and donations from trailers. Works cooperatively with rehabilitation staff to provide guidance to persons served assigned to work area. Reports known or suspected security and/or theft problems to the Director, Transportation & Logistics or other member of management. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Sweeps dock area.
