An opportunity has arisen to join the existing admin team at Bristol Autism Spectrum Service.
The service provides diagnostic and post-diagnostic support for autistic adults. We cover a large geographical area (all of Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire).
The team are made up of consultants, speciality doctors, nurses, psychologists, speech and language therapists and admin staff. We are a passionate and friendly team based in Hengrove in Bristol and we welcome enthusiastic admin candidates to apply for this exciting position!
Working under the supervision of the lead administrators, the successful candidate will join the existing admin team which consists of 2 x Band 3 administrators, and 2 x Band 4 lead administrators.
BASS is a very busy service with a current waiting list of over 1,000 service users.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a busy environment, and will have good communication skills and be able to use MS office packages including Word, Excel and Access with ease. A calm, approachable manner is expected as many service users contact the office; some of these calls can be challenging due to distress and mental health issues.
The successful candidate will manage clinicians’ calendars, book appointments, contact service users and answer phones.
It would be desirable for candidates to have a working knowledge of Access databases.
