Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Autism Assessor who is a qualified Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist to join our growing team in BSW, with a base at St Martin’s Hospital in Bath.
As a Band 6 Autism Assessor, you will provide assessment and post diagnostic support to both individuals and groups as appropriate with supervision available for formulation and diagnosis following assessment.
Primarily based in Bath, you will have the flexibility to work within a model that supports both on-site and hybrid working arrangements, depending on the nature of the role. Some travel across the BSW patch may be required so willingness to travel and a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
Previous experience and training in relevant autism assessment tools is vital to this role.
Main Responsibilities

Main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • To provide a service to the designated team including assessment and post diagnostic support to both individuals and groups as appropriate. Supervision will be available for formulation and diagnosis following assessment.
  • To provide a specialist consultancy service to mental health teams and other agencies providing care for the client group.
  • To participate in generic team duties as agreed by the Team manager as appropriate, to the needs of the service.
  • To participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements provided by the team.
  • To maintain accurate records and to monitor clinical workload using agreed systems.
