Description

The Wiltshire Talking Therapies Service is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and qualified High Intensity Therapist to join our dynamic and expanding service to help manage the increasing demand for Step 3 CBT.
We currently operate a hybrid working arrangement, where you will be based in Devizes or Salisbury, combined with opportunities for remote working from home.
You will enjoy the benefits of working in AWP, an NHS Trust that is committed to developing highly skilled workforce and actively encourages professional development opportunities. You will be encouraged and supported to participate in additional training and development activities.
You will provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients from the NHS Talking Therapies service. This involves providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy, using the therapy model specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression Manual.
You will also provide professional and clinical supervision to other members of the team.
You will need to hold the NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CBT Postgraduate Diploma and be accredited with the BABCP.
You will be joining the service at an exciting time with expansion across all areas which will open up excellent development opportunities.
You will receive regular supervision and an extensive programme of CPD opportunities to ensure your continued learning and development.
We are a friendly and supportive team with a strong focus on staff wellbeing. We offer the opportunity for staff to get involved in specialist areas of interest as a “champion”. Current topics covered include support for younger people, equality, diversity & inclusion, service user involvement, wellbeing, veterans and several others.
We are AWP (Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust): a diverse organisation with over 5,000 dedicated staff providing inpatient and community-based mental health care.
We provide services from a range of locations to approximately 1.8 million people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, across the county of Wiltshire and in parts of Dorset.
Our outstanding people promote mental health and wellbeing. The expertise and resources within AWP are dedicated to a person-centred approach for those who use our services and for all employees. We recognise that happy and fulfilled employees give better care.
At AWP we actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds; we are particularly keen to encourage applications from people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, those with disabilities and from the LGBTQ+ community. We want people to bring their unique blend of experiences, backgrounds, perspectives and knowledge to AWP, as diversity makes us stronger.
