Description:

Working predominantly at the Barberry Centre, at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), the post-holder will support the Head of Research and Development to deliver the objectives of the Mental Health Mission’s Midlands Translational Research Centre of Excellence to enhance the offer of research to service users across the region. This will include but is not limited to, the development of a specialist interventions unit for research, the establishment of research specific clinics and clinical research pathways and to enhance data access and management for the purposes of research and service improvement. The postholder will be experienced in managing projects within the NHS and will ideally have a passion/interest in either research and or mental health.

JOB SUMMARY:

Take direct responsibility for the planning, implementation and delivery on time and within budget of specific projects. This will involve the management and organisation of staff and resources allocated to the project
Take responsibility for the creation and maintenance of business cases and project plans and reports along with clear, accurate and up to date project documentation and records relating to all aspects of project delivery
Take responsibility for the development of clear and accurate project plans ensuring that tasks are completed, and plan is continually updated.
Work closely with identified organisational staff in managing projects across the organisation.
Maintain a close working relationship with all members of the Research and Development Team and the Clinical Academic Lead for Mood Disorders Research
Managing system development projects for current and new systems
Contributing to large, complex systems projects and managing stages of large projects
Scoping, planning, carrying out and reporting on progress of all projects within the R&D Department
