North Somerset CAMHS are investing in their leadership team to support the ongoing delivery of outstanding care
We are looking for an experienced Systemic Family Therapist to join our forward thinking North Somerset CAMHS. We have a commitment to systemic practice, recognising the importance of a systemic perspective when working with children and young people.
The post holder will bring enthusiasm and leadership to the multi-disciplinary team and will offer consultation, supervision and clinical expertise to ensure children and young people are offered effective systemic interventions. The service offers training opportunities to systemic family practitioners and MSc students; we have a commitment to the development and supervision of our systemic professionals with longstanding links to the University of Exeter.
The post will include working within the Eating Disorder pathway, coordinating systemic clinics, working with families and upskilling others in the team.
Although this post is a Band 8a and aimed at more experienced Systemic Family Therapists, we are happy to consider and interview those who may be more recently qualified and interested in a 12 month development role. Both in-house and external training will be available as appropriate.
We look forward to meeting you.
Previous applicants need not apply.
The post holder will lead on the assessment and treatment for young people presenting with a range of mental health presentations, including Eating Disorders for which we have a specific pathway of care.
The post is based in North Somerset CAMHS delivering service across two sites.
Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton. The M5 motorway is within easy access. Weston-super-Mare is a growing multi-cultural area with numerous amenities and has access to the beautiful coastline and also the Mendip Hills. The area is ideal for those who like an active outside lifestyle but also who want to be within each reach of Bristol and Taunton. There are a number of outstanding Ofsted rated schools within the area.
