Administrator | Bank contract | Flexible days | Sheffield | Competitive rates and excellent benefits   Spire Claremont Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Administrator to join their admin team on a bank contract Spire Claremont Hospital has provided first-class independent healthcare at the heart of the South Yorkshire community since 1953. Our hospital is situated among beautifully landscaped grounds in Crosspool, Sheffield and it is situated 3 miles (about 20 minutes) to the south west of Sheffield city centre. We offer a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a dedicated Endoscopy Suite; and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. Specialities include Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Spinal surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology. Duties and responsibilities * Providing an efficient administrative service within the hospital, operating within established policies and procedures.  * Welcoming, registering and directing patients, consultants and hospital teams as required, in a proactive, warm, professional and caring manner and in such a way as to provide confidence and exceed customers’ expectations.  * Admitting patients to their room in accordance with hospital procedures, providing information as appropriate. * Processing in-patient/out-patient charges, including the accurate collection of credit card details both over the phone and face to face * Supporting inpatient bookings by entering inpatient/day cases onto computer system * Responsibility for admission lists, including allocation of admissions.  Liaising with nursing staff as appropriate * Admission/Discharge of patients onto computer system ensuring accuracy of all information.  * Operate the hospital switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquires are responded to in a timely manner * Undertake various clerical duties including checking of bed status reports, ordering and distribution of newspapers, issuing badges for visitors, booking taxis Who we're looking for: * Whilst no formal qualifications are required you must be able to communicate with other members of staff and patients clearly and your personal appearance must be of a high standard, expected in a professional healthcare environment * Experience of working on a reception or in a similar customer facing environment * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally * Strong focus on delivering and exceeding customer expectations, with the ability to handle difficult situations * Confident telephone manner with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers at all levels * The ability to work effectively as part of a team * IT literate and a competent user of the MS Office suite of products  Contract Type: Bank Benefits * Bank colleagues are paid weekly * We offer competitive rates to our bank colleagues who work on a flexible basis, often to cover busy periods, sickness, or annual leave * Save an average of £50 per month with our free onsite car park * Access to Spire Healthcare pension * Access to Blue Light Card discounts * Free uniform * Free DBS * Full induction, including mandatory training updates * Knowledge, support and guidance through your recruitment journey from Spire’s specialist Resourcing Team     We commit to our employees well-being through work life balance, on-going development, support and reward.
