JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our hospitality team on a bank basis. This role supports the smooth running of internal and external events, as well as day-to-day operations in our café. You’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming environment, ensuring spaces are well-prepared, and delivering excellent customer service.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist with the setup and breakdown of rooms for meetings, conferences, and events (e.g. arranging furniture, AV equipment, refreshments)
· Provide front-of-house support during events, including greeting guests and serving food and drinks
· Support café operations as needed, including food preparation, serving, clearing tables, and maintaining cleanliness
· Ensure all hospitality areas are clean, safe, and well-presented at all times
· Follow health and safety, food hygiene, and infection control procedures
· Respond to customer queries and requests in a friendly and professional manner
· Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth service delivery
· Flexibly adapt to changing priorities and last-minute requests
CONTRACTUAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mandatory Training and E-learning:
Employees are expected to be compliant with all mandatory training requirements and to participate in the annual schedule for any learning required of their role.
Confidentiality
The post holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients, their carer’s, practice staff and other healthcare workers. They may also have access to information relating to the Federation as a business organisation. All such information from any source is to be regarded as strictly confidential.
Information relating to patients, carers, colleagues, other healthcare workers or the business of the Federation may only be divulged to authorised persons in accordance with the Federations policies and procedures relating to confidentiality and the protection of personal and sensitive data.

Conflict of Interest
BHF is responsible for ensuring that the service provided for patients in its care meets the highest possible standard, and that staff do not abuse their position for any person gain or to benefit their family/friends. Staff are not allowed to further their private interests in the course of their employment duties.
All staff must complete a Declaration of Interests form at the start of employment and notify their line manager directly and without delay of any updated information relating to an interest, direct or indirect.
Staff are not permitted to be registered with a GP surgery that the organisation directly manages. Where an employee has direct access to patient information the Federation does not allow that employee to be registered with the associated GP surgery.

Working Time Regulations (WTR)
The WTR 1998 require that you should not work more than an average of hours in each working week. Employees may choose to opt out by providing written notification as appropriate.
NOTE: THIS IS A BANK ROLE, MEANING HOURS ARE OFFERED ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY AND SHIFTS MAY INCLUDE EARLY MORNINGS, EVENING AND WEEKEND DEPENDING ON EVEN SCHEDULES AND CAFÉ NEEDS.
Pay: £12.21 per hour
