Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Ancillary Assistant to join our friendly and professional team at County Care Home, Enniskillen. Providing a warm, comfortable and safe environment for our residents to live is a top priority, so this is a vital and valuable role within our care home.
As part of the support services team, you will ensure any designated areas within the care home are always cleaned to the highest hygiene standard and that all housekeeping duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner. You could be required to work in the kitchens or in the laundry services.
Experience working in a Care Home environment is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

§ Ensuring that cleaning duties are carried out in accordance to the cleaning schedule.
§ Ensuring teamwork is applied at all times to provide a clean and welcoming environment for the residents, guests and visitors.
§ Maintaining the highest standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
§ Supporting the Housekeeper in reporting any defects or damage to furnishings within the home.
§ Carry out any reasonable instruction from the Housekeeper or Home Manager.
§ Complete cleaning documentation in line with company policy
§ Ensure that infection control policies and universal precautions are always followed
§ Carry out deep cleaning in line with regional guidelines and procedures
§ To actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation and always respect their dignity and communication differences.
