Sellywood House Nursing Home is currently hiring Health Care Assistants (Bank) to join our dedicated healthcare team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant or similar role is preferred but not required. We welcome candidates who are passionate and motivated to learn.
· Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
· Basic knowledge of health and safety practices in a healthcare setting.
· A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

· Assisting patients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
· Supporting patients in their mobility and promoting their independence.
· Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
· Monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing staff.
· Providing emotional support and companionship to patients.
· Maintaining accurate records of patient care activities.
· Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure a high standard of care is provided.
