JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will be responsible for a caseload of looked after children and young people. It is expected that the post holder will autonomously undertake direct specialist clinical work including carrying out statutory health assessment reviews on Looked after Children.
You will also be delivering training to foster carers and other health and social care professionals. An interest and knowledge of looked after children and young people are essential. Experience of safeguarding and multi-agency working is also key to the role.
The team also take responsibility for children placed out of borough.
This includes undertaking the health assessment and/or liaison with other agencies and services, coordinating effective care and acting as an advocate where necessary.
The post holder will provide expertise and demonstrate sophisticated clinical skills to work directly with vulnerable children and adolescents from a background of trauma and/or neglect.

Both verbal and written communication skills, and experience of team working will be essential to the role. Strong interpersonal skills will also be essential.
