BANK SUPPORT WORKER (DAYS/NIGHTS/WEEKENDS)

Priory Bishops Gate is a residential service, located in St. Leonards-On-Sea, East Sussex. We provide support to males and females between the ages of 18 and 65, who are on the autistic spectrum who may also be presenting complex needs.
We aim to help residents create and achieve personal goals, in order to lead a fulfilled and enriched life.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you’re assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
Support workers help our residents with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. We are passionate about providing excellent care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome or mental health conditions. As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to be part of 1000s of stories of inspiring care and support for our residents and service users.
Support workers are key workers, and provide direct support to our service users in support them to live there best lives. Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows

Our ideal support worker will:

  • Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our service users achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)
  • Be able to support in house activities and hobbies
  • Be attentive and inspire our service users to achieve more!
  • Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
