OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those we support, whether they are children, seniors, or individuals with specific health needs.

EXPERIENCE

Candidates should possess some experience or relevant skills in the following areas:

  • First aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in older adults will be an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in senior care or assisted living environments is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
  • A background in nursing or healthcare support roles will be considered favourably.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Support individuals with behavioural management techniques to promote positive interactions and outcomes.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities as required.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Uphold the dignity and respect of all clients while ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
