Description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team on a Bank basis. This role is key to ensuring all customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and on time, supporting our next-day delivery promise and high standards of customer service. As part of a fast-paced warehouse environment, you will play an important role in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and organisation across all operations. A strong “customer first” mindset is essential, as every order you handle directly impacts the service we deliver. Key Responsibilities Accurately pick, scan, and label customer orders for dispatch Sort and allocate items to the correct delivery lanes efficiently Prepare pallet and parcel orders for collection Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely Support delivery drivers with van loading and route preparation Maintain well-stocked picking areas through replenishment Support general warehouse operations to ensure smooth workflow Assist with goods-in, stock checks, and booking in deliveries when required Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S principles Work towards and achieve picking and productivity targets (KPIs) Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven setting Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities Basic IT skills and confidence using warehouse systems Understanding of health & safety practices Experience using warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.) is desirable Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks What We Offer Hourly rate: £14.00 per hour Bank (zero-hour) contract Free daily lunch provided on-site Free on-site gym access Free parking Unlimited snack cupboard and more!
