POSITION SUMMARY:

Stretto is seeking a proactive and analytical Banking Operations Analyst I to join our dynamic team. This client-facing role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in banking operations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving complex problems independently. You will play a key role in ensuring seamless transaction processing, maintaining client satisfaction, and improving operational workflows.
Our environment is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring precision, agility, and the ability to manage competing priorities with confidence and professionalism.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in banking operations or a related client-service role within financial services.
  • Prior experience supporting proprietary or banking software platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Bankruptcy knowledge is a plus but not required.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing and able to work from the Irvine, CA office as needed.
  • This is a hybrid position requiring occasional in-office presence.
Responsibilities

Client Service & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries related to account setup, fund transfers, ACH, wires, checks, reconciliation, and banking documentation via email and phone.
  • Deliver high-touch, professional client service with a strong focus on responsiveness and resolution.
  • Onboard new clients by gathering specific bank requirements and accurately setting up accounts in our system.

Operations & Transaction Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end flow of banking instructions and transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform critical daily banking tasks while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Collaborate with banks and internal departments to troubleshoot and resolve transactional issues.

Problem Solving & Analysis

  • Investigate and resolve complex software-related client issues by identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutions.
  • Escalate unresolved or time-sensitive matters following established protocols.
  • Use SQL to perform database queries and conduct data analysis as part of issue investigation and process improvements.

Systems, Testing & Documentation

  • Gain expertise in proprietary software systems; stay up to date with ongoing platform updates.
  • Submit system enhancement requests, support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and validate outcomes.
  • Maintain and update documentation, team procedures, and client communication templates.
