EDUCATION A high school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field preferred. EXPERIENCE A minimum of three (3) years of banking, financial services, sales, or related experience normally required. Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred. PREFERRED SKILLS * Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. * Moderate typing and computer skills. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. * Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. * Knowledge of consumer lending products and processes; current NMLS registration preferred. * Ability to conduct consumer lending activities, including taking applications, interviewing applicants, gathering supporting documentation, and managing customer relationships. * Ability to open and service personal and business deposit accounts. * Working knowledge of retail banking products, services, policies, and procedures. * Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills. * Ability to analyze performance results and implement strategies to achieve Banking Center goals ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Banking Center Sales Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, sales performance, customer experience, operational excellence, and talent development of the Banking Center. This position drives deposit and consumer loan growth, develops employees through coaching and accountability, builds strong customer relationships, and ensures compliance with all Bank policies and regulatory requirements. The Banking Center Sales Manager serves as a role model for sales and service excellence while fostering a culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and community involvement. Essential Duties BANKING CENTER MANAGEMENT 1. Manages the Banking Center to provide efficient, accurate, and customer-focused service. 2. Coordinates Banking Center activities with centralized operations personnel and other Bank departments. 3. Participates with management in establishing Banking Center goals and implementing strategies designed to achieve those goals. 4. Reviews market conditions, customer needs, sales trends, and competitive factors to identify opportunities for Banking Center growth. 5. Reports pertinent information and Banking Center performance results to management as requested. SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 1. Maintains responsibility for Banking Center deposit growth, consumer loan growth, and overall sales performance. 2. Drives deposit, loan, and fee income growth through proactive sales and business development efforts. 3. Develops and maintains relationships with consumers, businesses, and community organizations to generate new business opportunities. 4. Participates in community events, networking activities, and business development initiatives to promote the Bank and increase customer relationships. 5. Identifies opportunities to deepen customer relationships through referrals, cross-sales, and needs-based conversations. CUSTOMER SERVICE & CONSUMER LENDING 1. Performs all duties of a Universal Banker, including customer service, sales activities, onboarding, referrals, and relationship development. 2. Opens and services personal and business deposit accounts and maintains knowledge of the Bank's account opening procedures, products, and services. 3. Conducts consumer lending activities, including interviewing applicants, taking applications, collecting supporting documentation, originating loans, and managing customer relationships throughout the lending process. 4. Maintains knowledge of consumer lending products, services, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. 5. Responds to customer inquiries and resolves issues in a timely and professional manner. LEADERSHIP & EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 1. Directly supervises assigned personnel. 2. Assists in the selection, onboarding, orientation, training, and development of employees. 3. Conducts performance evaluations and regular coaching sessions to support employee development and achievement of Banking Center goals. 4. Organizes, schedules, and distributes work among assigned personnel. 5. Keeps employees informed of policies, procedures, goals, and expectations affecting the Banking Center and their positions. 6. Creates an environment that encourages teamwork, accountability, and open communication. 7. Administers personnel policies and procedures as established by Bank policy. OPERATIONS & CASH MANAGEMENT 1. Ensures all transactions, balancing activities, and operational functions are completed efficiently, accurately, and according to Bank policy. 2. Processes wire transactions in accordance with Bank policy. 3. Ensures staff have an adequate supply of cash to conduct business and maintains approved cash levels. 4. Maintains and balances vault cash, currency, and coin. 5. Processes and validates incoming and outgoing cash shipments. 6. Ensures vault cash is balanced daily and assists staff as needed. 7. Maintains vault cash records and related documentation. 8. Minimizes risk of losses, including cash differences, operational errors, and other controllable losses. RISK MANAGEMENT & COMPLIANCE 1. Maintains responsibility for Banking Center operational performance, audit results, and compliance standards. 2. Identifies operational deficiencies and implements corrective action plans as necessary. 3. Promotes adherence to Bank policies, procedures, and risk management practices designed to ensure safety and soundness. 4. Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, including but not limited to CIP, BSA, CRA, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act requirements. 5. Coordinates departmental tasks to ensure efficient processes and proper segregation of duties. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assists management with administrative duties, special projects, and other assignments as directed. 2. Represents the Bank in a professional manner and serves as a role model for customer service, sales performance, leadership, and accountability. 3. Performs other duties as assigned. ANCILLARY DUTIES * Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual or departmental circumstances. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Occasionally ascends/descends stairs to move through the different floors of the location. * Must be able to position self to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. * Must be able to remain in a stationary position more than two-thirds of the time. * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to accomplish tasks. * Occasionally adjust or move objects in all directions. * Frequently communicates with others to exchange information. * Constantly moves wrists, hands, and/or fingers. * Occasionally operates motor vehicles * Must be able to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. * Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. * Occasionally has to move objects up to 50 pounds.
