ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

My client in the Banking sector is looking for an experienced Data Governance Specialist.
The Data Governance Specialist/Data Steward is responsible for managing and overseeing an organization’s data assets to ensure their quality, accessibility, security, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

MUST-HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Good SQL knowledge
• Power BI knowledge
• Experience in ETL processes and data sets
• Knowledge on data modelling for data warehouse
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis on data and processes
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Relevant University degree
• Experience with Data Governance Recipe

• Data quality management: Ensuring information is accurate, complete, consistent, and reliable.
• Metadata management: Documenting data definitions, lineage, and business context.
• Data governance implementation: Enforcing policies, standards, and procedures.
• Access control management: Defining who can access specific data and for what purpose.
• Compliance monitoring: Ensuring data handling aligns with regulatory requirements.
• Data issue resolution: Addressing challenges related to data quality or access.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Partnering with IT, business units, and leadership.
• Data literacy promotion: Supporting the organization in understanding and effectively using data assets.
