ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you ready to take the next step in your insolvency career? Our client, a respected leader in the financial services and leasing space, is looking for a Bilingual Bankruptcy and Proposal Administrator - Leases & Loans to join their growing team. In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing accounts impacted by bankruptcies and consumer proposals. You’ll work hands-on with trustees, clients, and internal teams to protect creditor rights, maximize recoveries, and ensure compliance with Canadian insolvency regulations.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Managing a portfolio of lease and loan accounts affected by bankruptcies and consumer proposals
  • Reviewing insolvency documents such as Notices of Stay, Proofs of Claim, and Statements of Affairs
  • Preparing and filing Proofs of Claim and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitoring proceedings to safeguard creditor rights, including follow-up with co-lessees and guarantors
  • Acting as the main contact for Licensed Insolvency Trustees (LITs), customers, and internal teams
  • Supporting processes such as account closures, repossessions, or settlements
  • Keeping records accurate and up to date in internal systems
  • Communicating effectively in both French and English, both written and spoken
  • Staying ahead of updates under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA)
