Description Legends on the Lake at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is hiring Cooks. We're in a really exciting season right now — fresh menus, great energy in the kitchen, and a team that genuinely cares about the food and the experience we're creating. It's a fun place to be, and we're looking for people who want to be part of it. Our restaurant sits right on Lake Lure and serves everything from everyday dining to special events. Good variety, beautiful setting, and plenty of room to grow. All experience levels welcome! Candidates must be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Essential duties Prep ingredients and assist with daily kitchen setup Cook and plate menu items to recipe and quality standards Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work with the team to keep service running smoothly during busy times Support the dish area (washing dishes, pots, and pans) during peak service times or when coverage is needed Requirements 2+ years prep or line cook experience preferred (hotel/resort or similar a plus) Food handling certification preferred — or good working knowledge of food safety Dependable, team-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure Flexible schedule and willingness to work holidays Physical requirements Comfortable working in a hot kitchen (stoves, ovens, grills, fryers) Good hand dexterity for chopping, slicing, and using kitchen tools safely Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs Able to bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, and stand for long periods May be required to drive a vehicle as part of duties
