Description Join our team as a Seasonal Banquet Bartender and play a key role in delivering exceptional beverage service at weddings, conferences, and special events. In this high-energy, guest-facing role, you’ll prepare and serve drinks, engage with guests, and ensure bar operations run smoothly during banquet functions. Position Details Employment Type: Seasonal Shift: Flexible (Evenings, Weekends, Holidays based on event schedule) Department: Banquets / Food & Beverage What You’ll Do Provide friendly, professional, and engaging bar service during banquet events Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes Set up banquet bars based on event orders and banquet event orders (BEOs) Stock bar areas with liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, and supplies before and during service Verify guest age and ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with all laws and resort policies Operate POS system to open/close tabs, process payments, and manage transactions accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations throughout the event Work closely with barbacks and banquet staff to ensure efficient service flow Monitor inventory levels, complete liquor counts, and maintain accurate reporting Break down bar areas after events and return equipment to designated storage areas Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Provide an engaging “on stage” presence while maintaining professionalism Requirements What We’re Looking For 1–2 years of previous bartending experience required (banquet or high-volume experience preferred) Experience with POS systems (restaurant or event environment preferred) Valid Bartender License (City of Delavan or ability to obtain) Strong knowledge of drink recipes, mixology, and bar operations Excellent communication and guest service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume event setting Professional, outgoing, and confident demeanor Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and regulations Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs regularly (cases, supplies, bar equipment) Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion Ability to work quickly and efficiently during high-volume events Work Environment Fast-paced banquet and event setting within a resort environment High guest interaction during weddings, conferences, and special events Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and crowded event spaces Indoor and occasional outdoor event setups Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak event seasons High-energy role requiring multitasking and continuous guest engagement About Lake Lawn Resort Located on Delavan Lake, Lake Lawn Resort is a premier hospitality destination known for exceptional service and a strong team culture.
